He needs someone to look after him, but his father may or may not be the best substitute. Starting with Bambi, since this is set after the tragic death of his mother, he is the character that goes through the most development. The old characters are back again, but not everyone is as perfect as everyone else. Even if there are a few flaws, it doesnвЂ™t stop the animation from being good. Also, there are a few traces of computer animation, and while it can blend in with the hand-made environment sometimes, there are other times where it is obvious that what we are seeing is early CGI. If there are any criticisms I have to make, itвЂ™s that, while the animators did a great job, there are a few times when the animation isnвЂ™t as smooth as usual, but it doesnвЂ™t happen a lot.

As for the character animation, itвЂ™s surprisingly pretty good, being able to both be pretty fluid, and help give the character designs some life. Much like the first movie, the animators gave the characters a design that resembles their real-life counterparts, but they still have enough of the Disney design in them to express human emotions. Like I said earlier, the movie pays great respect to the original. Oh, and in case youвЂ™re wondering, the movie does not suddenly switch the tone of the movie, so donвЂ™t worry about encountering material that might be more for children. The story may be a bit predictable, but it is the unique feel of the execution that makes it stand out. Instead, it pays great respect to the original, whether it be the feel of the movie, or some references and homages to the original.
